Hair Fall

In Ayurveda, hair loss is referred to as Khalitya. Rather than treating hair fall as just a topical scalp issue, ancient Ayurvedic texts view hair as a byproduct of Asthi Dhatu (bone tissue). Hair loss is considered a sign of deeper internal imbalances involving digestion, stress, metabolic heat, or toxic accumulation (Ama).

Ayurvedic Therapies: In clinical settings, therapists administer specialized panchakarma treatments for persistent hair loss:

Shiro Abhyanga (Warm Oil Massage): Scalp massage with medicated oil (like Bhringraj or Brahmi oil) to stimulate Marma (energy) points and improve blood flow.

Shirodhara: A continuous, gentle stream of warm medicated oil poured over the forehead, designed to calm the central nervous system, regulate cortisol, and balance hormones.

Nasya: Administration of herbal drops through the nasal passages to clear head channels and nourish the upper torso.
